Georgetown Online MSBA Expands Access for International Students

The M.S. in Business Analytics program at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business is expanding its global reach to applicants within three hours of the Eastern Time Zone to include those residing in Canada, Mexico, Central, and South America. To maximize their ability to engage as a cohort, students will also have the opportunity to apply for an F-1 student visa to participate in the MSBA program’s in-person residencies, in addition to weekly synchronous online sessions from their home country.

“The MSBA program is committed to building data-driven, global-ready leaders who can drive business decisions for companies across the world,” said Babak Zafari, academic director of the MSBA program. “We look forward to increasing our international representation to students in new time zones to foster global perspectives and welcome a new cohort of individuals who can benefit from the flexibility and rigor of our online program.”

Recently ranked as one of the top two programs in the nation by Fortune, the MSBA delivers a comprehensive curriculum designed specifically for technology-enhanced learning, characterized by close-knit cohorts, a dedicated career services team, and flexibility for working professionals seeking to balance their education with work and personal commitments. The 16-month program includes a combination of synchronous and asynchronous coursework with two seven-day, campus-based residencies that provide integrated, hands-on activities, a capstone project, as well as collaborations with industry leaders such as Amazon to educate students about cloud computing platforms.

The MSBA program continues to see success in admissions and career outcomes. In fall 2023, the program increased the representation of women, U.S. diversity, and military affiliation across a wide variety of industries and backgrounds. Within six months of graduation, 82% of the Class of 2022 landed a new career opportunity. The full graduating class achieved an average salary increase of 33% with an average salary of $119,106. MSBA students have access to career coaches in a virtual environment where they can receive assistance in navigating their career search, including enhancing their resume and cover letters, preparing for interviews, and negotiating offers.

Applications are currently open for the Fall 2024 cohort of the MSBA. The recommended application deadline for international students requiring a visa is May 5, 2024
