2021: A Year In Review
This holiday season, Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business has much to celebrate. We are grateful for our community of students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends who joined together to support one another and our mission to build global business knowledge and inspire ethical leaders to serve the common good.
Back on Campus: After 18 months, students, faculty, and staff make a full in-person return to the Hilltop in the Fall 2021 semester.
1,100 Alumni Volunteers: Record-setting alumni participation in mentorship and employment assistance for students.
Commitment to Sustainability: Georgetown McDonough launches a new Business of Sustainability Initiative to prepare current and future leaders to make the business case for sustainability, as well as an M.S. in Environment and Sustainability Management that blends business and science.
Focus on the Future of Work: Georgetown McDonough enrolls its first cohort of M.S. in Business Analytics students and announces a new AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work Initiative to address how the rapid pace of technological change is driving both economic and social transformation in the workforce.
Action on Diversity: Documented the progress of the Standing Committee on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion through a DEI Annual Report and website.
High Marks: Every eligible program ranked in the top 10.
Jesuit Values in Action: Put our Jesuit values in action through Operation: Cura Personalis, the Pivot Program, Georgetown Reach, Ignatian Retreats, supporting Afghan refugees, and more.
Custom Executive Education: Advanced the careers of 2,337 executives in 74 programs for 18 companies.
