U.S. News Ranks Georgetown MBA Top-10 for International Business, Nonprofit Careers

U.S. News & World Report continues to rate the Georgetown McDonough MBA among the nation’s best graduate business programs, with the Full-time MBA ranking 24th and the school’s part-time MBA program ranking 12th. The school also is ranked 5th for international business and 9th for careers in nonprofits.

“Whether students enroll in our Full-time or Flex MBA, they will graduate with the tools and mindsets employers value in globally minded, principled leaders,” said Prashant Malaviya, senior associate dean for MBA programs. “Our ability to collaborate with other top-ranked programs within Georgetown University, our Jesuit heritage, and our location in the global capital of Washington, D.C., provide a unique student experience.”

For the Full-time MBA, U.S. News considers assessments by other business school deans and employers, as well as admissions and employment data for 2018. This year, the program scored its highest peer assessment score at 3.9, highest average GMAT score at 693, and saw a nearly $9,000 increase in average starting salary and bonus — increasing to $139,215 from $130,588 last year.

U.S. News gathers a different set of criteria for its part-time MBA rankings: assessments by other business school deans; average GMAT score, undergraduate GPA, and work experience; and the percentage of the entire MBA student body enrolled part time. This year, the MBA Evening Program tied its previous record peer assessment, and the average GMAT score advanced to being the 11th best in the country.
