Our executive degree team designs and delivers top-ranking master’s programs. Well versed in program management, they collaborate with our partners around the world to ensure a meaningful, memorable student experience.

  • Paul Almeida

    Senior Associate Dean, Executive Education

    Professor of Strategy and International Business

    Paul Almeida is senior associate dean for Executive Education at Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business, focusing on strategy, academics, public relations, and business development. He also is a professor of strategy and international business and co-director of the Georgetown-ESADE Global Executive MBA program

    Almeida’s research examines innovation, knowledge management, alliances, and informal collaborations across firms and countries and has been published in several leading journals. Almeida has conducted executive education and corporate seminars with numerous organizations in the United States and around the world, including Microsoft, Gucci, Rolls Royce, IBM, Samsung, Sprint, the World Bank, OPIC, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, AREVA, National Public Radio, and the Social Security Administration. He received a Ph.D. and a master’s degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India.

  • Elie Farhat

    Assistant Dean for Executive Outreach

    Elie Farhat is responsible for the recruiting and outreach efforts for Georgetown McDonough executive degree and open-enrollment certificate programs. Previously Farhat served as the director of graduate programs at Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business. He was responsible for all recruiting activities pertaining to their Executive and Corporate MBA programs as well as operational implementation and service delivery. Farhat holds a bachelor’s degree from Merrimack College and a master’s degree in law and diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University.

  • Lonya Smith

    Assistant Dean, Executive Degree Programs

    Loni Smith is responsible for ensuring the successful operation of Georgetown McDonough’s executive degree programs. In her role, she leads a team of program management staff and oversees all administrative and operational activities related to the day-to-day delivery of degree programs in the Office of Executive Education. Smith has substantial experience in business education, curriculum design, financial planning and budgeting, and project management. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and is a native of Wilmington, Delaware.

  • George Liebensfeld

    Director of Academic Affairs for Executive Education

    George Liebensfeld’s goal is to build faculty resources for degree and non-degree executive education and hence ensure that teaching in Georgetown McDonough’s Executive Education programs is of the highest quality. He has an undergraduate degree in business from the University of Maryland and a master’s degree in liberal studies from Georgetown University. Liebensfeld was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to Korea in 1996 and has worked and lived in Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia.

  • Kirsten Sands

    Director of Admissions and Recruitment

    Kirsten Sands supports the recruitment of mid- to senior-level professionals domestically and abroad. Sands is also responsible for managing the Lifelong Learning Initiative, through which alumni of executive degree programs can return to the classroom and audit elective courses. She supports various other projects across the school, including marketing efforts and supporting the development of new technology platforms to enhance the student and alumni experience. Sands is a recipient of the 2013 Dean's Award in recognition for outstanding service to the McDonough School of Business. She is a native of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, an alumna of Susquehanna University, and a current graduate student at Georgetown University.

  • Jesse Avila

    Assistant Recruiter

    Jesse Avila is responsible for assisting in recruitment efforts. He guides prospective students through the application and admissions process for the Georgetown-ESADE Global Executive MBA and the Corporate International Master’s programs. Prior to joining the Office of Executive Education, Avila served as an operations assistant for the Office of the Senior Vice President for Research and Technology at Georgetown University. He is a native of Los Angeles County and holds a B.A. in government and sociology from Georgetown University.

  • Cristina Cardenal

    Program Development Coordinator

    Cristina Cardenal coordinates new program development efforts alongside the associate director of program development. She also provides support for international and online degree program projects. Prior to joining the Office of Executive Education, Cristina served as a specialist in the Office of Public Affairs at Georgetown University, where she contributed to the successful approval of the 2010 Campus Plan. A Miami, Florida, native, Cardenal holds a B.A. in American studies from Georgetown University and is currently pursuing her MBA in Georgetown McDonough's Evening Program.

  • Taira Crockett

    Admissions Operations Coordinator

    Taira Crockett handles all operations pertaining to application processing and applicant engagement. Her primary responsibility is working closely with applicants throughout the admissions process. Crockett’s previous experience in higher education includes Ohio State University, the University of Dayton, and Georgetown’s Law Center. Crockett is a native of Columbus, Ohio, and holds a bachelor’s degree from Wright State University in political science and African and African-American studies.

  • Megan Finck

    Assistant Director, Executive Degree Programs

    Megan Finck manages program operations and delivery for the Global Executive MBA and Corporate International Master’s programs, which are run in collaboration with partner schools in Spain and Brazil. She works with each student from the time of admission through graduation to ensure a seamless program experience. Previously, she worked in education program management at NAFSA: Association of International Educators and the U.S. Green Building Council. Finck is a native of Pennsylvania and has a B.A. in Spanish from Messiah College, where she spent a semester abroad studying at the University of Barcelona, Spain.

  • Adam Hahn

    Associate Director, Program Development

    Adam Hahn manages the design and development of all new online, domestic, and international degree programs. Prior to joining Georgetown, Hahn worked for a private company that provided counterintelligence training to the federal government. He is a native of Nebraska and holds a M.A. in foreign policy from American University and a B.A. in international relations from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

  • Kaitlin McGrath

    Assistant Director, Executive Degree Programs

    Kaitlin McGrath manages program operations and delivery for the Executive MBA program. She is responsible for ensuring the quality of the EMBA student experience from admission to graduation. Prior to joining the Executive Education team at Georgetown McDonough, McGrath worked for a leading law firm in Washington, D.C. She is a native of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and has a bachelor’s degree in politics, law, and the courts from Suffolk University.

  • Miriam Okine Davies

    Associate Director, Master of Science in Finance Program

    Miriam Okine Davies manages the delivery of the Master of Science in Finance program. In this role, she handles program operations and assists in ensuring a high-quality MSF student experience. Davies has experience in higher education and education policy. Prior to joining the Executive Education team, she was a research associate with the Urban Institute and managed graduate programs in the Department of History at Georgetown University. Miriam holds a B.A. in political science from Swarthmore College, where she minored in English literature and public policy. She is a native of Gaithersburg, Md.
