  • Tenure Track Professor – Organizational Behavior

    We invite applications for a tenure-track position in the Management Area. We are primarily interested in considering applicants at the rank of Assistant Professor, but outstanding candidates at the Associate or Full Professor will be considered as well. Principled leadership is the strategic theme of the area. Current faculty conduct a wide-range of research that informs this vital area of the School’s identity. It is our expectation that the successful candidate will be someone with demonstrated experience publishing in top management journals and teaching effectively.

  • Non-Tenure Line (NTL) Teaching Professor – Organizational Behavior

    We invite applications for a full-time, non-tenure line Teaching Professor position in the Management Area with a focus on Organizational Behavior and related courses. The position carries a 15 credit hour teaching load plus service and comes with full benefits. The position provides up to a 3-year contract with indefinite renewals based on on-going curricular and programmatic need, and positive performance evaluation. We seek candidates to begin teaching as early as Fall 2017.

       

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS

    Successful applicants will have a Ph.D. or appropriate terminal degree and 5 or more years of post-degree university teaching experience, with excellent teaching evaluations, preferably in a highly selective business school. Evidence of excellent teaching at the MBA level, with expertise in teaching Leadership is desired but not required. Experience in course and/or curriculum development and innovation, as well as experience teaching at the undergraduate business and executive levels, is also desirable.

  • Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Finance

    Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business invites applications for one full-time, tenure-track appointment in Finance beginning Fall 2017. Rank is open. All areas and specialties will be considered.  Rank and Tenure depend on research and teaching accomplishments.

  • Tenure-Track/Tenured Faculty in Strategy, Economics, and Public Policy

    The McDonough School of Business (MSB) at Georgetown University anticipates hiring multiple tenure-track or tenured faculty members in Strategy, Economics and Public Policy.  Applicants should have an outstanding research record, with demonstrable knowledge and interest in applied microeconomics.  Excellence in research and teaching are the primary criteria for the positions.  Applicants must have a Ph.D. (expected completion acceptable) from an accredited institution.  Appointments are expected to begin in the 2016-2017 academic calendar year.

  • Tenure Track – Marketing Faculty

    Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business invites applications for a tenure-track Marketing faculty position, starting in Fall 2016. Rank is open to those applying at the Advanced Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level.

    One of the things that makes the Marketing Area at the McDonough School of Business unique is that our faculty research practically relevant issues in which the consumer is the unit of analysis. Regardless of their specific methodological orientation (e.g., experimental, modeling) or core discipline (e.g., psychology, economics, statistics), our marketing faculty focus on consumer-level issues. This common interest facilitates engaging discussions and collaborations among faculty.

    The McDonough School of Business is committed to and promotes a strong research culture. We seek applicants who are dedicated to publishing their research in A-level journals, teaching excellence, and contributing to the future growth of the school. Necessary support for doing such research and for professional development will be provided. For this particular position, we have a preference for applicants who engage in modeling research and who are ready for MBA teaching. Salary and benefits will be competitive with the leading business schools.

  • Senior Associate Dean, Undergraduate Programs

    Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business invites applications for the position of Senior Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs. This is a time of great academic and program innovation in the School and the University, particularly in the areas of international business, business and society, and interdisciplinary studies. Our new Senior Associate Dean will help Georgetown University meet its mission: “to develop and educate principled leaders with a global mindset to be in service to business and society.”

    Reporting to the Dean, the Senior Associate Dean is responsible for the management and delivery of undergraduate programs at McDonough for more than 1,400 students across six majors and several interdisciplinary programs. These include programs with Georgetown College and the Walsh School of Foreign Service. 

    We seek candidates with demonstrated capacity for collaborative leadership.  Our new dean will offer creative and effective leadership on admissions, curricular development, program development, pedagogies, student advising and mentoring, and academic standards.  Applicants with prior experience in designing (and teaching in) academic programs are especially welcome.  A deep care for the quality of the student academic and co-curricular experience is essential.  Georgetown has an active alumni and parent network, and the Senior Associate Dean will be expected to participate in outreach to them.  Among the Senior Associate Dean’s core partners at Georgetown are the faculty and staff both at McDonough and at other colleges of Georgetown. The Senior Associate Dean will also represent McDonough to many external constituencies.

    The successful candidate will have some combination of these attributes and skills:  an earned doctorate or other terminal degree; five or more years of experience in higher education either as a faculty member or as an administrator; experiences in an international organization or setting; prior budgeting and financial management experience; and a commitment to enhancing student diversity.
