  • McCrane-Shaker Chair of International Business

    Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business in pleased to invite applications for the McCrane-Shaker Chair of International Business. After more than 20 years of distinguished service, Professor Johny Johansson will retire from this position in Spring of 2013. The School seeks applications from candidates with an exceptional research and teaching record in any area of International Business. The McCrane-Shaker Chair may be located in any of the School’s six areas: Accounting, Finance, Operations and Information Management, Marketing, Management, and Strategy, Economics, Ethics, and Public Policy. The appointee is expected to play a strong leadership role in the intellectual life of the School, including maintaining an active high quality research agenda and mentoring junior faculty. Appointment will be at the rank of Full Professor.

  • Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Accounting

    All areas and specialties will be considered, although experienced candidates with financial accounting research and teaching interests are preferred. Rank and tenure depend on research and teaching accomplishments.

  • Tenure Track - Marketing Faculty

    The McDonough School of Business seeks a faculty member at the assistant associate professor level to begin Fall 2015 who is committed to and promotes a strong research culture. The school is seeking applicants who are dedicated to publishing their research in A-level journals, to teaching excellence, and contributing to the future growth of the school. Necessary support for doing such research and for professional development will be provided. Salary and benefits shall be competitive with the leading business schools. The school has a fully functional behavioral lab managed by a full-time Lab Manager and additional research support is available from the recently launched Georgetown Institute for Consumer Research - sponsored by KPMG.

    All candidates regardless of their specific methodological orientation (e.g., experimental, modeling) or core discipline (e.g., psychology, economics, statistics) are encouraged to apply. What is more important is that your research examines practically relevant business issues where the consumer is the unit of analysis.

  • Tenure Track – Ethics Faculty

    Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business seeks an additional tenure-track or tenured member of its ethics faculty. We invite applications from highly qualified scholars from all ethics-related disciplines such as philosophy, political science, law, and organizational behavior/moral psychology. The rank associated with this position is open, and we encourage applications from both entry level and experienced candidates. A completed Ph.D. is required for appointment. The successful candidate will be expected to produce high quality scholarship within his or her discipline and teach ethics related courses to both undergraduate and graduate level business students.

  • Senior Faculty Position in Business Statistics

    Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business invites applications for a senior faculty position in Business Statistics, within the Operations and Information Management (OPIM) Area. We seek to make an appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level. Pending budget approval, the appointment would begin at the start of the fall semester 2015. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Statistics or a closely related field. We are seeking candidates with a distinguished record of research and teaching excellence in the business statistics area. Candidates with interests related to the statistical components of business analytics are particularly encouraged to apply.
