The Impact of Class Scholarships
Voices of Scholarship Recipients
I began my career in recruitment consulting, but when the pandemic hit, I felt called to work alongside healthcare workers…While working in the hospital, I decided to pursue an MBA to develop the leadership and strategy skills necessary to drive innovation in healthcare. The merit scholarship to the McDonough School of Business eased the financial burden of attending. I can prioritize building a career in healthcare for impact, and not simply for financial returns.” – Addena Kamra (MBA’26)
“I am incredibly grateful to be the recipient of the GUMBA Class of 1998 Endowed Scholarship Fund. After the initial excitement of being accepted, I soon found myself spiraling, overwhelmed by the financial reality of this decision. This scholarship alleviated so much of that stress and gave me the breathing room I needed to focus on what truly mattered: my education. Receiving a scholarship from Georgetown meant so much more than just being accepted—it was a clear signal that others believed in me and my potential. Your support has helped bring one more woman into the distinguished group of McDonough alumni, further diversifying our talent pool.” –Angelina Mosher Salazar (MBA’26)
