What impact did the MiM program have on your career? The MiM program enabled me to pivot from government affairs to enterprise strategy consulting and equipped me with the analytical, client-facing, and project management skills to thrive in a competitive consulting environment. The coursework was aligned with industry practice, and I drew directly on project work throughout the interview process. The program also immersed me in teams with diverse professional and cultural backgrounds, preparing me for similar collaboration in a global consulting firm. During my pivot into entrepreneurship, I’ve leaned on learnings from specific MiM courses and am excited to continue to build on this knowledge through the 2025/2026 MiM-to-MBA pathway, where I plan to incubate and launch a business.
Describe the best part of your MiM experience. Meeting so many people in a short period of time was nothing short of a great experience. Being able to share some time abroad with the same people for a consulting project was even better. I particularly enjoyed understanding the perspectives of the people I worked with and understand how it guides their decision-making process.

What impact did the MiM program have on your career? The MiM programme gave me a much broader outlook thanks to the many nationalities and stories I was exposed to. Learning to see situations from different perspectives has been one of the most valuable skills I took away When did you know that you made the right decision in coming to Georgetown? I knew I had made the right decision from the very first day I walked onto campus. I was struck by how beautiful the campus was, and at the same time it immediately felt familiar and welcoming. That first impression stayed with me and set the tone for the rest of my experience at Georgetown. Describe the best part of your MiM experience. The best part of my MiM experience was the diversity of people in my year (30+ nationalities). Everyone came from different nationalities and backgrounds, which meant I was constantly exposed to new perspectives and stories. It made the programme much richer, both personally and academically. I still keep in touch with many of my classmates, and the friendships I built during that time are very valuable to me.

It equipped me with a solid foundation in business fundamentals and sharpened my decision-making abilities. More importantly, it gave me the confidence to take on leadership roles earlier than I had anticipated and to contribute meaningfully in cross-functional teams. Describe the best part of your MiM experience. Being part of the Georgetown MiM cohort felt like joining a family. The support, the laughter, the shared ambition, it made every challenge feel lighter and every success more meaningful. That sense of belonging was the best part of the journey.
What impact did the MiM program have on your career? The MiM program transformed my career by giving me the exposure and knowledge I was seeking. The classes in areas such as supply chain, finance, and accounting gave me the knowledge I was looking for and equipped me with practical skills that I can apply in my career. Beyond the coursework, it was the people I met, including classmates from diverse backgrounds and professors who pushed my thinking, that shaped my experience. I had the chance to meet the CEO of Inditex and to attend talks by leaders such as Jamie Dimon, Jonathan Gray, and Joseph Baratta, which gave me direct exposure to world-class perspectives on business and leadership. The Global Business Experience in Argentina allowed me to work on a real client project, while traveling across South America with my cohort broadened my cultural awareness and global mindset. Altogether, the program provided the connections, experiences, and skills I needed to confidently step into and excel in a professional business career.

Because of its rigorous design, I’m able to better appreciate and solve the kinds of knotty business challenges I encounter every day. Georgetown sharpened those skills not only through classroom discussions, but also through extensive outside reading, collaborative group work, and the immersive training we had abroad. That combination of depth and breadth prepared me to think more critically, adapt quickly, and add real value in my career. When did you know that you made the right decision in coming to Georgetown? I knew I had made the right decision on my very first day. It was a long day, but I remember feeling energized because the problems we were learning to solve were exactly the kinds of challenges I wanted to devote my career to tackling. As someone who was originally on track for law school, I had gone back and forth about the value of pursuing a business degree. But the truth is, while the law connects us, business might connect us even more—every day we’re engaging in systems where we trade time and resources, and we have to think carefully about how to build within those systems and work around them. From day one, Georgetown showed me it was the right place to learn how to do exactly that. What was your experience like with your cohort? I loved it. When you think about the people you want to be studying alongside, you really can’t get a better mix than at Georgetown. My classmates have become lifelong friends—people who supported me through cross-country moves and whom I’ve stood beside at weddings. They are truly the best of the best. Georgetown attracts people with deep intellect, but also with the kind of character and care that makes the community feel like family. It provided me with a strong foundation in management principles while emphasizing strategic thinking, leadership, and collaboration across diverse teams. The program’s focus on experiential learning allowed me to translate theory into practice through projects that mirrored real-world business challenges, which sharpened my problem-solving and communication skills. I knew I had made the right decision to come to Georgetown when I started coming to campus every day and truly immersing myself in the experience. Being surrounded by my cohort and engaging with the McDonough community made me realize how much I was growing both personally and professionally. The sense of belonging, the collaborative energy, and the opportunity to learn alongside such motivated peers confirmed that I was exactly where I was meant to be. What was your experience like with your cohort? My experience with my cohort was incredibly rewarding. I was paired with the perfect group of people who supported me both personally and academically. We learned to balance each other’s strengths and weaknesses, which made our collaboration not only effective but also enjoyable. Beyond that, I had the chance to connect and work closely with a diverse group of international peers—a perspective you don’t often get in day-to-day life or in more traditional programs. That exposure broadened my worldview and added so much depth to the overall experience. Describe the best part of your MiM experience. The best part of my MiM experience was the Global Business Experience. It gave me the opportunity to step into a real-world, consulting-like role where I applied everything I had learned throughout the program. Working with a global company challenged me to think strategically, collaborate effectively, and deliver meaningful recommendations. It was a culminating experience that tied the classroom to real business impact and gave me the confidence to carry those skills into my career. Describe your experience with any career coaching you received during the program and how it has impacted your career. During the program, I had the opportunity to work closely with Karen through career coaching, and her guidance was truly pivotal. She encouraged me to apply for my first role at Goldman Sachs—an avenue I had not originally considered. Her mentorship pushed me outside of my comfort zone and helped me recognize potential I hadn’t seen in myself. That role became the launchpad for my career, opening doors to opportunities and experiences that continue to shape my professional journey today.

What impact did the MiM program have on your career? The MiM allowed me to be just one connection away from anyone. Working in commercial real estate, I regularly rely on “cold connecting” to meet stakeholders in my industry. My MiM background has resulted in an ~80% connection success rate. The program has also given me close friends in every corner of the world, helping me maintain my global mindset even after graduating. When did you know that you made the right decision in coming to Georgetown? The moment I set foot on campus! The MiM was very conducive for me, and the first day challenged me to be the best version of myself. That same day I met my first study group and realized I wanted to do the best I could for them! What was your experience like with your cohort? We were a funny, hard-working, and very social bunch! I found my classmates to be a top-notch, talented group with so many unique backgrounds. My cohort was (and still is) a great support system for me. Describe the best part of your MiM experience. Near the halfway point of the program, my friends and I had cultivated a great study group. I remember each of us becoming very intentional about what skills we wanted to sharpen, and how we could help each other. As Mod 2 finals approached, we spent so many great nights together as one big, supportive, hard-working unit. Describe your experience with any career coaching you received during the program and how it has impacted your career. A lot of my career coaching came from practicing with my peers. I recall helping my friends with mock interviews and learning how to anticipate the things a hiring manager would look for. Peer coaching was a great way to get closer with my classmates while learning some crucial career skills.
