Q: Describe the best part of your MiM experience.
Beyond the coursework, the people I met (including classmates from diverse backgrounds and professors who pushed my thinking) shaped my experience. I had the chance to meet the CEO of Inditex and to attend leadership talks with Jamie Dimon, Jonathan Gray, and Joseph Baratta, which gave me direct exposure to world-class perspectives on business and leadership. The Global Business Experience in Argentina allowed me to work on a real client project, and traveling across South America with my cohort broadened my cultural awareness and global mindset. Altogether, the program provided the connections, experiences, and skills I needed to confidently step into and excel in a professional business career.

Q: What was your experience like with your cohort?
My experience with my cohort was incredibly rewarding. I was paired with the perfect group of people who supported me both personally and academically. During the program, I had the opportunity to work closely with my career advisor through career coaching, and her guidance was truly pivotal. She encouraged me to apply for my first role at Goldman Sachs—an avenue I had not originally considered. Her mentorship pushed me outside of my comfort zone and helped me recognize potential I hadn’t seen in myself. That role became the launchpad for my career, opening doors to opportunities and experiences that continue to shape my professional journey today.

Near the halfway point of the program, my friends and I had cultivated a great study group. I remember each of us becoming very intentional about what skills we wanted to sharpen, and how we could help each other. As Mod 2 finals approached, we spent so many great nights together as one big, supportive, hard-working unit.

Q: How did career coaching support your goals?
A lot of my career coaching came from practicing with my peers. I recall helping my friends with mock interviews and learning how to anticipate the things a hiring manager would look for. Peer coaching was a great way to get closer with my classmates while learning some crucial career skills.

Q: When did you know you made the right decision?
On my very first day. I remember feeling energized because the problems we were learning to solve were exactly the kinds of challenges I wanted to devote my career to tackling. As someone originally on track for law school, I had gone back and forth about the value of pursuing a business degree. But the truth is, while the law connects us, business might connect us even more.

From the program director, to our Senior Director of Career Services, to our world-class professors, Georgetown was devoted to supporting my career journey from day one. Whether it was sharpening my resume, navigating negotiations, connecting me with professionals in roles I was curious about, or preparing me for case interviews, my community consistently showed up during what can otherwise be a stressful process. The coursework was aligned with industry practice, and I drew directly on project work throughout the interview process. 

Q: What was your experience like with your cohort?
The program immersed me in teams with diverse professional and cultural backgrounds, preparing me for similar collaboration in a global consulting firm. During my pivot into entrepreneurship, I’ve leaned on learnings from specific MiM courses and am excited to continue to build on this knowledge through the 2025/2026 MiM-to-MBA pathway, where I plan to incubate and launch a business.
