Preparing Students to Lead in a Global Business Landscape
A global perspective is more critical than ever in business education. At Georgetown McDonough, students gain international exposure through a wide range of immersive programs that develop cross-cultural competence, leadership, and real-world business acumen.
Through joint degrees, cohort-based fellowships, consulting projects, study abroad, and international internships, students participate in transformational experiences that prepare them to lead in the global marketplace.
Global Business Fellows (GBF)
The Global Business Fellows program is a competitive, cohort-based initiative designed for undergraduate McDonough students interested in the intersection of international business and public policy. Fellows engage in specialized coursework, global research, and policy-related discussions, expanding their understanding of macro-level global business issues.
Georgetown McDonough offers students the opportunity to study abroad at leading universities around the world. These immersive cultural and academic experiences allow students to gain global perspectives, broaden their worldviews, and develop the adaptability and curiosity essential for future business leaders.
The Global Business Experience is a three-credit, faculty-supervised course in which students work in consulting teams to address real business challenges for international clients. Projects may be with private companies, public sector entities, or nonprofit organizations based abroad, offering students the chance to apply their classroom learning in a global business setting.
The Global Summer Programs offer students the chance to earn six Georgetown credits (two business courses) while studying at top institutions abroad. These programs combine rigorous academic coursework with cultural immersion, helping students deepen their global understanding in dynamic international settings.
All programs and activities are open to all Georgetown University students regardless of race, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, age, or any other characteristic protected underUniversity policy or applicable law.
