Maureen Cleary

Assistant Dean

Industry Practice Lead and Certified Career Coach – Financial Services and Real Estate

Maureen Cleary leads relationship building with employers and MBA students interested in financial services and real estate. Cleary joined the Georgetown McDonough Career Center from the NYU Stern Office of Career Development, where she was the director of relationship management, responsible for creating and expanding opportunities for Stern students by building strategic partnerships with diverse organizations.

Prior to joining Stern, Cleary was a vice president in operations at Credit Suisse Securities and Goldman Sachs where she specialized in oversight of core control functions, business process improvement, campus recruitment, project management, and staff development. Cleary received an MBA in finance from the Wharton School of Business and a B.A. in economics from Georgetown University.

Asha Noor

Asha Noor

Director

Industry Practice Lead and Certified Career Coach – Education, Energy and Cleantech, Government, International Development, Social Impact and Nonprofit

Asha Noor leads employer relations and MBA student coaching in the social impact, education, energy/cleantech, government, and international development sectors. Prior to coming to McDonough, Noor was the Coordinating Director for Communities United for Status and Protection (CUSP), a national collaborative of grassroots immigrant-led organizations. Noor also served as the Program and Outreach Director at CAIR-MI, a Civil Rights organization, where she oversaw the implementation of inclusive policies at university campuses, as well as other sectors. Noor also served as the Advocacy and Civic Engagement Specialist at The Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services (ACCESS).

Noor is also the recipient of several prestigious awards, including the KBK Humanitarian Award, Martin Luther King Jr. Unsung Hero Award, and Michigan Coalition for Human Rights Community Advocate Award. Noor earned her M.S. in conflict analysis and resolution from George Mason University, and her B.A. in political science from Michigan State University.

Sarah Bluming

Director

Industry Practice Lead and Certified Career Coach – Consulting

Sarah Bluming leads relationship building with employers and MBA students interested in consulting, venture capital, and entrepreneurship.

Bluming joined the McDonough Career Center after six years as a strategy consultant at Deloitte Consulting, where she led and managed projects with senior government leaders in immigration, health, and defense. Her work ranged across business sectors to include strategy, technology pilots, finance, organization design, process development, and policy. She also volunteered with the Deloitte Strategy recruiting teams and coached over 50 staff through promotions and career changes. Before graduate school, Bluming worked in undergraduate admissions and as a collegiate speech and debate coach.

Bluming holds a Master’s in Leadership and Public Policy from the University of Virginia and a B.A. in English.

Kecia Hansard

Director

Industry Practice Lead and Certified Career Coach – Consumer Packaged Goods and Retail, Hospitality, Manufacturing and Transportation, Entertainment, Media and Sports, Marketing and Sales Functions

Kecia advises MBA students and leads relationships with employers in hospitality, transportation, luxury & retail, manufacturing, and CPGs. She joined the Georgetown McDonough MBA Career Center to support student and employer engagement in these areas.

Her career has allowed her to focus on strategic communications and stakeholder development with diverse organizations for over 20 years in public affairs/marketing, graduate admissions, and career services. Prior to joining McDonough, she has been a career coach for MBAs and engineers partnering with students and employers for programming and preparation for diverse functions and industries for more than 10 years. Kecia has been a volunteer coach and mentor with various service organizations focused on workforce training and development.

Kecia earned a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Maryland. She earned two graduate degrees from The George Washington University – in Counseling and in Human Resource Development. Additionally, she completed a certificate in Executive Leadership Coaching from GW.

Margo Gorra-Stockman

Director

Industry Practice Lead and Certified Career Coach – Consulting

Margo Gorra-Stockman leads relationship building with employers and MBA students interested in consulting. Gorra-Stockman joined the Georgetown McDonough Career Center after more than 25 years of consulting spanning EY, Accenture and Kaiser Associates, where her focus was on strategy and business and technology transformation. Her industries of focus include hospitality, consumer packaged goods, retail, and automotive. She was actively engaged in recruitment at each firm and has coached and mentored many individuals throughout her career.

Gorra-Stockman holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a B.A. from the University of Virginia in International Relations.

Nina Vann

Director

Industry Practice Lead and Certified Career Coach – Technology and Healthcare

Nina Vann leads student advising, employer engagement and partnerships for MBA students interested in technology and healthcare.

Nina brings over 12 years of experience in strategy consulting, marketing, international development and journalism to the career center. She spent over five years in strategy consulting at EY-Parthenon, where she advised Fortune 500 clients and private companies on global transactions in the healthcare, life sciences, technology and advanced mobility sectors over $1.5bn.

Before consulting, Nina worked as a journalist covering entertainment and then politics in West Africa. She later worked in international development at the United Nations General Assembly (Economic & Financial Committee), driving policies around education, employment trade and access to technology for developing countries.

Nina is a proud alumna of Georgetown McDonough. At Georgetown, she was co-president of GWIB and also served as a peer advisor. Prior to Georgetown, she received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the prestigious Covenant University in Nigeria and Columbia University in New York, respectively. Nina is passionate about helping others identify their talents to fulfill purpose. She loves to travel, volunteer, dance, read and spend time with her husband and three beautiful children.

Ja’net Y. DeFlorimonte

Senior Director

Ja’net DeFlorimonte provides strategic support to the McDonough Career Center in the areas of finance, budgets, analytics, and operations. Prior to joining the Career Center, DeFlorimonte was the director of admissions for the Master of Science in Foreign Service program at Georgetown’s Walsh School of Foreign Service. She also held a leadership position with the Medical School for International Health at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. Prior to joining academia, DeFlorimonte held various positions supporting students, mostly from untapped and historically underrepresented backgrounds at National Medical Fellowships, Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, and the Institute of International Education.

DeFlorimonte earned a Masters of Public Administration with a concentration in international management from American University and a B.A. in political science with a minor in international studies from Wake Forest University. She also recently completed the Professional Project Management Certificate at Georgetown University’s School of Continuing Studies.

Cindy King

Recruitment and Event Coordinator

Cindy is a Recruitment and Event Coordinator in the Career Center. She focuses on recruitment needs for students and supporting events.

Originally, from Brooklyn, NY, Cindy has spent the majority of her career in higher education. She has worked for New York Law School, Georgetown University, The George Washington University, University of Delaware, and University of Pittsburgh in various administrative roles. While in Pittsburgh, she was also a Store Support Supervisor for Whole Foods Market.

Cindy has a BA from Georgetown University (Liberal Studies) and a MS from University of Delaware (Hospitality Business Management). She believes her strong background in higher education will be an asset to the team. She is very happy to be back home.

Akunna Konkwo

Recruitment and Event Coordinator

Operations

Akunna Konkwo contributes to the McDonough Career Center by coordinating events and providing operational assistance. Additionally, she is actively engaged in recruitment efforts, striving to connect students with job opportunities and assist employers in staffing roles.

Konkwo graduated from Boston College with a B.S. in marketing. Throughout her time as an undergraduate, she played on the women’s basketball team, competing on and off the court. Prior to entering Georgetown, Konkwo served as a marketing intern for the Cotuit Kettleers, a baseball team in the Cape Cod Baseball League.

Born and raised in Alexandria, Virginia, Konkwo is deeply familiar with Georgetown and its illustrious reputation, having grown up in the DMV area.
