Shelly Heinrich, Associate Dean, MBA Admissions and Director of Marketing
Heinrich leads the MBA Admissions team in both its marketing and operational strategy to build awareness, recruit, yield, and retain the Full-time, Evening, and Flex MBA programs. She also develops the integrated marketing strategy for the team and manages the internal marketing team and external marketing firm in its execution.
Heinrich is a senior marketing professional with over 13 years of experience in the higher education, corporate, and nonprofit sectors. Her responsibilities have included marketing, recruitment, business development, event planning, and public relations. With experience in five business schools, Heinrich brings a strong and tested knowledge of the business school industry and changing market trends.
Heinrich received a master's degree in education from the University of Texas at Austin and a bachelor's degree in business administration from Texas Christian University. She recently completed a certificate of marketing from Georgetown University and the Executive MBA Program in the McDonough School of Business.
Anne Kilby, Director of MBA Admissions and Operations
Kilby manages the operations team within the MBA Admissions department. Kilby has spent over 11 years in higher education, mainly in the areas of admissions, recruiting, executive education, faculty relations, and strategic marketing. She has worked within a global scope by representing programs internationally at recruiting events and fairs, partnering with universities and clients abroad, and interviewing prospective candidates worldwide. Prior to Georgetown, she was the Director of MPA Admissions at the University of North Carolina. She also brings experience from NYU Stern’s Global Executive Programs Office.
Kilby received a Master's in Public Administration from NYU Wagner's School of Public Policy, specializing in international policy and management. She also has a bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in mathematics from North Carolina State University.
'Iolani Lightbourne, Director of MBA Admissions, Diversity and Inclusion, and Partnerships
Lightbourne oversees MBA recruitment and admissions events at the McDonough School of Business. Prior to joining the admissions team, Lightbourne worked as a recruiter on Wall Street for five years, most recently managing MBA investment banking recruitment for Morgan Stanley. She received a Bachelor of Arts from New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study where she concentrated in Africana studies, communications, and marketing. Lightbourne is also a McDonough MBA graduate.
Kenny Tan, Associate Director of Data Analytics
Tan primarily oversees data management and analyses, and he also serves on the Admissions Committee and provides budget reconciliation support. Prior to joining Georgetown McDonough, Tan worked at the George Washington University Biostatistics Center as a biostatistician for the TODAY diabetes clinical trial. He received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland, College Park in economics and a Master's of Public Health from Georgia Southern University in biostatistics. Tan is a McDonough MBA candidate in the Evening MBA Program, graduating in May 2019.
Michelle Roch, Associate Director, Marketing Automation
Roch serves as the associate director of marketing automation on the MBA Admissions team. In this role, she sets the email and social media marketing strategy, manages web content, and serves as a member of the Admissions Committee. Prior to joining Georgetown McDonough, Roch gained MBA admissions experience from both the George Washington University School of Business and the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University. In addition to holding a Bachelor of Arts in history from John Carroll University, she completed a Master of Arts in student affairs in higher education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Porter Blackford, Senior Assistant Director
Blackford serves as the assistant director of operations for the McDonough MBA Admissions office. In this role, she oversees application operations and processing for both the Full-time and Evening MBA Programs and serves as a member of the Admissions Committee. Prior to joining MBA Admissions in 2013, Blackford worked in communications for an international trade association in Washington, D.C. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English from Georgetown University in 2011.
Amanda Wayner, Assistant Director
Wayner provides support for application processing operations and marketing for MBA Admissions. She originally joined Georgetown McDonough in 2012 and has served in various capacities throughout her tenure. Wayner graduated from Ohio University with a degree in political science.
Madhuri Vairapandi, Assistant Director
Vairapandi serves as a member of both the Admisisons Committee as well on the marketing team for MBA Admissions. She is a double Hoya, having earned both bachelor's and master's degrees in English from Georgetown University. Prior to joining MBA Admissions in 2018, Vairapandi worked with the Office of Student Financial Services at Georgetown University.
Devin Owens, Front Office Manager
Owens is the first point of contact for prospective inquiries to the MBA Admissions team. She also provides application support to candidates. Prior to joining Georgetown McDonough, Owens excelled in the industry of retail banking and client support.
Glen Nuenighoff, Operations Coordinator
Nuenighoff provides support in the execution and logistics of application processing for the MBA Admissions team. He joined Georgetown McDonough in 2016 after working for two years in federal IT sales. Prior to this he earned a Bachelor of Science in marketing management from Virginia Tech's Pamplin College of Business in 2014.
Lauren Beckham, Marketing and Events Coordinator
Beckham supports the Marketing and Communications team within MBA Admissions. Prior to Georgetown McDonough, she worked in commercial real estate and non-profit in Memphis, Tennessee. Beckham graduated from the University of Mississippi with a degree in Integrated Marketing Communications and a minor in Business Administration
