Shari Hubert, Associate Dean
Shari Hubert joined Georgetown McDonough in 2012 with significant experience in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors. Most recently, Hubert worked in the federal government with the U.S. Peace Corps as the director of recruitment within the Office of Volunteer Recruitment and Selection. In this capacity, she was responsible for the strategy to attract and recruit over 4,000 volunteers annually and managed the operations of nine regional recruitment offices across the United States.
Prior to joining the Peace Corps, Hubert was the senior vice president of campus recruitment for Citi’s Global Bank in North America and was responsible for overseeing the recruitment of analysts and associates into the corporate and investment banks as part of Citi’s Markets and Banking Division. She also worked for GE, in their corporate headquarters, where she served as manager, campus relations in corporate recruiting and staffing. In this role, she was responsible for the overall recruiting efforts and budget allocation across the southeast region of GE’s strategic university relationships. She began her career with GE in one of their divisions at the time, NBC Universal, as the director of community programs.
Hubert also ran an executive leadership and civic development program named in honor of David Rockefeller at the Partnership for New York City, a business advocacy association focused on public and private partnerships. Immediately after receiving an MBA from Harvard Business School, Hubert was a consultant for The Boston Consulting Group. She began her career in sales and marketing at Merck and Co., Inc., after graduating with a bachelor's in French from Dartmouth College in 1992.
Shelly Heinrich, Assistant Dean
Heinrich leads the marketing and communications team within the MBA Admissions department. Heinrich has spent more than 12 years in the higher education, nonprofit, and corporate sectors. Her responsibilities have included marketing, recruitment, admissions, business development, event planning, and career services. Prior to Georgetown, she worked in MBA Admissions at the George Washington University School of Business. She also brings experience from the University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business and the Syracuse University Whitman School of Management.
Heinrich received a master's in education from the University of Texas at Austin and a bachelor's in business administration from Texas Christian University. She recently completed a certificate of marketing from Georgetown University and is now an Executive MBA candidate in the McDonough School of Business.
'Iolani Lightbourne, Senior Associate Director
Lightbourne oversees MBA recruitment and admissions events at the McDonough School of Business. Prior to joining the admissions team, Lightbourne worked as a recruiter on Wall Street for five years, most recently managing MBA investment banking recruitment for Morgan Stanley. She received a Bachelor of Arts from New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study where she concentrated in Africana studies, communications, and marketing. Lightbourne is also a McDonough MBA candidate in the Evening Program, graduating in May 2018.
Kenny Tan, Associate Director of Data Analytics
Tan primarily oversees data management and analyses, and he also serves on the Admissions Committee and provides budget reconciliation support. Prior to joining Georgetown McDonough, Tan worked at the George Washington University Biostatistics Center as a biostatistician for the TODAY diabetes clinical trial. He received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland, College Park in economics and a Master of Public Health from Georgia Southern University in biostatistics. Tan is a McDonough MBA candidate in the Evening Program, graduating in May 2019.
Michelle Roch, Senior Assistant Director
Roch serves as the assistant director for marketing and communications on the MBA Admissions team. In this role, she sets the email and social media marketing strategy, manages web content, and serves as a member of the Admissions Committee. Prior to joining Georgetown McDonough, Roch gained MBA admissions experience from both the George Washington University School of Business and the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University. In addition to holding a Bachelor of Arts in history from John Carroll University, she completed a Master of Arts in student affairs in higher education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Porter Watkins, Senior Assistant Director
Watkins serves as the assistant director of operations for the McDonough MBA Admissions office. In this role, she oversees application operations and processing for both the Full-time and Evening MBA Programs and serves as a member of the Admissions Committee. Prior to joining MBA Admissions in 2013, Watkins worked in communications for an international trade association in Washington, D.C. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English from Georgetown University in 2011.
Amanda Wayner, Admissions Manager
Wayner provides support for application processing operations and marketing for MBA Admissions. She originally joined Georgetown McDonough in 2012 and has served in various capacities throughout her tenure. Wayner graduated from Ohio University in 2012 with a degree in political science. Prior to arriving at Georgetown McDonough, she worked at Ohio University in the Office of the Dean of Students and as a student orientation leader.
Devin Owens, Front Office Manager
Owens is the first point of contact for prospective inquiries to the MBA Admissions team. She also provides application support to candidates. Prior to joining Georgetown McDonough, Owens excelled in the industry of retail banking and client support.
Glen Nuenighoff, Operations Coordinator
Nuenighoff provides support in the execution and logistics of application processing for the MBA Admissions team. He joined Georgetown McDonough in 2016 after working for two years in federal IT sales. Prior to this he earned a Bachelor of Science in marketing management from Virginia Tech's Pamplin College of Business in 2014.
Lauren Beckham, Marketing and Events Coordinator
Beckham supports the Marketing and Communications team within MBA Admissions. Prior to Georgetown McDonough, she worked in commercial real estate and non-profit in Memphis, Tennessee. Beckham graduated from the University of Mississippi with a degree in Integrated Marketing Communications and a minor in Business Administration
